What We Do

We are an educational organization that encourages reflection and discussion that leads to personal and collective action among community members. We partner with businesses, community groups, schools, and faith-based organizations to prevent violence through awareness and education of children, youth, and adults. ADD: Our membership includes individuals from various organizations, businesses, and retired community members.

Business / Organization Presentation
We would welcome the opportunity to present violence prevention training at your workplace. We have a presentation-ready, 30-minute overview of the issues of domestic violence and UCAN's goals in the area.

White Ribbon Campaign
We have developed our White Ribbon Campaign to promote our cause.

UCAN Peace Challenge
The Peace Challenge was designed to encourage local businesses to commit to reduce domestic violence and the impact of domestic violence at their workplace.

Domestic Abuse Awareness Guidebook
The guidebook is a short easy-to-read booklet that gives basic information about domestic violence and what you can do as a community member to help stop it. It is a manual of tips and suggestions to help make our community free of domestic abuse. These booklets have been distributed at health fairs, community events, county fairs, and area businesses. To date, there have been approximately 4000 booklets distributed to community members.
